It rained here most of the day, but I'm not complaining because we really need it.  This little 5x7 painting is how I spent the better part of the day.  Seems like I've been spending a lot of time in birch forests lately.  I lived in Colorado Springs for five years and the aspens were one of the many things I fell in love with there.  I'm not certain what if any difference there is between birch and aspen; I'm sure there is.  The beauty of these trees amaze me; there is a peacefulness to them.
