Evening was approaching, the sun low in the sky, on that chilly spring evening.  He sat patiently waiting, hoping to meet her.  Just yesterday he had seen her perching in the slender birch tree, basking in the amber glow of the setting sun. Was he too late, or did he not remember the particular tree he had seen her in? And still he waits, hoping to meet her.
